Rose Productions raises Costas Mourcela's iconic work to a staged theatrical analogy, enlightening with humor and sensitivity the great questions of life
One of the most important works of modern Greek dramaturgy returns to the scene through a new approach that highlights its timelessness and current power. Rose Productions presents the iconic work of Kostas Mourselas, "He and He", in the form of a staged theatrical proportion, directed by Eleni Odysseus, in the theatre area of the Egomous Cultural Center.
"He and He" is an anthem in the freedom of the spirit and in the "poetic vagabond", through the course of two separate characters, Luke and Solon. Two wandering, unconventional and deeply human heroes who choose to live on the fringes of a society oriented towards consumption and material prosperity. One by conscious choice and the other by instinct, refuse to join stereotypes and conventions, at any cost defending their personal freedom.
Through the characteristic speech of Mourcelas, the work is masterfully balanced between satira, philosophical quest and social commentary. His heroes challenge the public to wonder what really means success, freedom and human dignity, in a work that remains as topical as ever.
In Luke's role we meet Harry Picia, while Solon is performed by Pantelis Cletus. The actors Maria Fika, Eleni Odysseus, Nicolas Arkadi and Giorgos Odysseus, who complete the whole performance with them. Giorgos Odysseus signs the move, while the sets and costumes are Mariza Partzili.
The performances will take place on Friday 26 June at 21:00, Saturday 27 June at 18:30 and 21:00, as well as Sunday 28 June at 18:30 and 21:00. Viewers are invited to secure their tickets in time through the more.com platform, as there will be no cashier in the performance area.
