This is a musical journey linking contemporary creative quests with related tropical traditions of the Mediterranean
Stelios Petrakis presents his new album Lyricon | Lyric, a work with a central axis of lyra and an intense Mediterranean, intercultural character, which already records significant international impact. This is a musical journey that links contemporary creative quests with related tropical traditions of the Mediterranean, highlighting the deeply expressive power of the "lyric" musical language.
This musical journey, with stations from Crete and Asia Minor to Lower Italy and Valencia, forms a multidimensional soundscape where different musical memories and cultural references coexist organically.
Through the synthetic and orchestrative look of Stelios Petrakis, Lyricon opens dialogues between different cultures and sounds, creating a sound landscape with deep melodic sensitivity and modern aesthetics.
The album's success is actively reflected in the world charts, as Lyric remained for two months on the Top 10 of the World Music Charts Europe (WMCE) and continues its course, while it is for a third consecutive month on the Top 10 of the Transglobal World Music Chart.
The album has also extracted particularly warm reviews from international music media and magazines which talk about the lyrality, music consistency and quality of the album's collaborations while the prestigious Songlines magazine characterizes it as "a real album-diamond".
