A silent barber (Billy Bob Thornton) lives a peaceful life until he discovers his wife's extramarital relationship (Frances McDormand) with her boss. He is soon trapped in a chain of events beyond his control.
Cohen brothers explore the futility of the American dream and the uncertainty of human existence through a film combining the original Hollywood film noirs with the well-known black humor of the beloved American creators.
