1st Children's Sea Festival for Famagusta Province at the Municipal Museum of Agia Napa THALASSA
The 1st Children's Sea Festival, organized in Famagusta Province, will take place on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the Municipal Museum of Agia Napa THALASSA, from 17:00 to 20:00.
This is a special Festival dedicated to children and the marine world of Cyprus, which combines fun with knowledge and environmental awareness through creative workshops, interactive activities and educational games for children of all ages.
The festival co-organises and supports Europe Direct Larnaca - Famagusta, the Development Society of Larnaca - Famagusta Provinces (adel), the Municipality of Agia Napas through the Municipal Museum THALASSA, the Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute (CMMI), the Department of Fisheries and Marine Research (TATHE), the Enalia Physis Environmental Research Centre and the Interim Body (EF) of the Department of Fisheries and Marine Research (TATHE).
The festival program begins at 17:00 with a tour of the museum for children and adults while at the same time the adventure game "Hide Treasure" will take place for children over the age of eight.
From 18:00 to 20:00, children over five years old will have the opportunity to participate in the workshop "Marine Construction" creating crafts on the subject of the sea. At 18:30, the narrative workshop “Nerohistories” will begin, with fairy tales and stories inspired by the sea, for children over five years of age.
Throughout the event, interactive booths and activities will operate, such as virtual tour (VR) in the marine environment, knowledge and exploration games, the educational van MedOnWheels, the action "Your Lego Deep", familiar with the marine species of Cyprus, as well as painting and face painting stations. At the same time table games will be available for all visitors in the event area.

The action is implemented under the 2021-2027 Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Programme, co-financed by the European Union and the Republic of Cyprus.
