Music, skating, dancing and authentic folk melodies fill the Ethnographic Museum of Avgos, in an evening dedicated to the cultural heritage of the place.
The tradition meets the music and the feast at Lakirtin Fest, which returns on Sunday 19 July 2026 to the Ethnographic Museum of Avgouros, inviting the audience to a special cultural experience full of Cypriot melodies, folk events and authentic moments of entertainment.
The event starts at 18:00 with skates, where all musicians are welcome to participate, giving from the first moment a participatory character to the festival. The music procession will pass through three different village stations, carrying the festive climate to the neighborhoods of Avgos. First stop will be the café of the square with the participation of the Limassol Folklore Club, and then the route will continue at the Tsimbouri house, where the Cultural Workshop "Despite the lake" will present its own program. The skate ends in the square of Agios Georgios, where the Theatre Team "Create" will give its own special touch to the event.
At 20:00, the setting is transferred to the Ethnographic Museum of Avgouros, where the great traditional feast will take place. Two musical schemes that promise to travel to the original music traditions of Cyprus and the wider Eastern Mediterranean will be on the stage.
The first shape consists of Andreas Siantzis, Kyriakos Hatziandreou, Theophanis Theophanous and Gregoria Nikolas, and then Kuprum Orchestra will take the baton, with Laurent Clouet, Alexis Fourka, Georgiadis, Vassilis Pallikari, Aristotle Tzoga, Giannis Lautaris and Gregory Nicolas, in a musical meeting that is expected to lure the audience to dance and feast until late at night.
Lakirtine Fest is not just another summer event. It is a celebration dedicated to popular tradition, collective memory and the power of music to unite people and generations. Through sounds, songs and events, it highlights the cultural identity of Avgos and recalls that the most beautiful moments are born when people meet, sing and celebrate together.
The entrance to the evening party is €12, while the event takes place with the support of the Municipality of Agia Napas and the Aggos Community Council, inviting young and old to live an authentic summer evening full of music, tradition and Cypriot hospitality.
