The 17th Pancyprian Cultural Watermelon Festival returns dynamically to Frenaros with Christos Menidiatis and Freedom of Liberty.
The Municipal Apartments Frenarus of the Municipality of Paralimni – Dereneia announces with great pleasure the organization of the 17th Pankyprios Cultural Festival of Karposios, which will take place on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at the Municipal Stadium of Frenaros.
An institution established as one of Cyprus' most important summer cultural events returns for the 17th year, honoring the watermelon, the product that has been inextricably linked to the history, tradition and rural identity of Frenaros.
This year's festival promises a unique evening full of music, entertainment and culture, starring two favorite artists of the Greek music scene, Christos Menidiatis and Eleftheria Eleftheriou, who will give the audience a special concert with favorite successes and a high mood.
The event program will begin at 19:00, offering visitors the opportunity to enjoy a celebration dedicated to local tradition, gastronomy and hospitality.
The entrance to the public will be free.
The festival is organized by the Municipal Apartments Frenarus of the Municipality of Paralimni – Dereneia, under the auspices of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works and International Protection and is held with the support of donors and communication partners.
We invite the public from every corner of Cyprus to attend and participate in this great summer celebration, combining tradition, culture and entertainment, while highlighting the primary sector and local products of our country.
