A sweet celebration of tradition and flavors
The beautiful Vouliani is preparing to welcome one of the sweetest summer events of the Cypriot countryside, the Glygisto Festival, which will take place on Sunday, July 5, 2026 at the Vouliani Event Area.
From 12:00 to 18:00, visitors will have the opportunity to get to know the traditional glygisto, one of the most characteristic dishes of the Cypriot culinary heritage, through production shows, tasteful trials and many parallel activities.
The program includes music, dance, speeches, children's activities, acquaintances with local products, sale of traditional sweets and market items, as well as free treats with culinary, paluse and pulp.
A special place in the highlights of the day is held by the creation of the first Jumbo Glitzistos, as well as the first presentation of glytzists to be prepared in steria, offering visitors a unique experience around the tradition and folk art of the place.
The event is undertaken by the Women's Cultural Association of Kollaniou in collaboration with the Community Council of Kollaniou, aiming to preserve and promote local customs and the culinary tradition of the village.
