Zorba the Greek is a world-renowned ballet coming to Larnaca, Cyprus for two electrifying performances at the Pattichio Municipal Amphitheatre on 29 and 30 July 2026 at 21:00, as part of the 41st Larnaka Festival. The Sofia National Opera and Ballet presents this iconic production featuring Bolshoi principal dancer Igor Tsvirko and Ballet Kazan soloist Oleg Ivenko.

Based on the novel by Nikos Kazantzakis and set to the immortal music of Mikis Theodorakis, this spectacular two-act, 22-scene ballet was choreographed by Lorca Massine and had its world premiere at the Arena di Verona on 6 August 1988. Since then it has been performed in over 30 countries to more than 3 million spectators — a true hymn to freedom, passion, and the Greek spirit.
