Ten years after the release of the CD “Very Blue”, bassist and composer Jean Bardy returns with his brand-new album “Au Café des Anges”.
Jean Bardy weaves a universe where jazz naturally dialogues with his early rock‑folk loves, all threaded with some beautiful bluesy colors. On the program: energy, swing, but also a lot of finesse. You can hear superb double‑bass intros, warm sounds that envelop, a hint of melancholy that comes through at times… and especially that simple, contagious pleasure of playing together, which can be heard in every note.
