The poetic work of Stella Voskaridou meets the music of Andreas Papapetrou in an original performance of speech, sound and silence that explores fear as a creative force.
The Axiothea hosts an original music‑narrative performance, based on the eponymous poetic work of Stella Voskaridou. Structured in small thematic sections, inspired by the ideas of the poem, the performance unfolds in successive scenes, creating a multi‑layered and multi‑sensory experience.
Andreas Papapetrou’s musical composition follows the flow of the poetic text, illuminating its emotional and thematic dimensions. The voice of Pavlina Konstantopoulou and the narration of Stella Voskaridou combine with the live performance of a string quartet, piano and electronics, shaping a distinctive soundscape that functions as an organic extension of the poetic narration.
At the core of the performance is the exploration of fear as a creative force. Through the interaction of speech, sound and silence, the work invites the audience to approach the realms of the subconscious, personal and collective memory, and the transformation of experience into artistic expression.
The Fear, Sub‑lingual Night is presented to the public for the first time, offering a unique stage experience where poetry and music intertwine in a single artistic narrative.
