The Development Association of Vavla invites young and old to a special afternoon with the shadow puppeteer Giannis Pafios.
On Saturday September 12, we will have the opportunity to get to know up close the world of Shadow Theatre, through an interactive workshop of figure making and a live performance.
At 17:30, the experiential workshop* will take place where participants will get to know the figures, the techniques and the secrets of this unique form of folk art. We will discover how light and shadow can bring an entire world to life.
At 19:00 the performance “Karagiozis the Singer” will follow. Karagiozis decides to become… a singer to make money! With a “voice” that… scares and plans that always go wrong, he gets tangled in hilarious adventures together with Hatzivatis. Will he manage to become a star? The continuation on stage… One thing is certain: the laughter will not be missing!
