By launching its They’re Gonna Be Big night in 2021, Supersonic wanted to create a pure discovery format, a launchpad for ultra‑promising artists who had not yet been spotted by the majority, giving them a chance to convince the audience by offering a first French stage! We saw the emergence of now‑established talents such as English Teacher, Courting, Illuminati Hotties, Opus Kink, Chappaqua Wrestling, Softcult, Enola Gay, Floodlights, zzzahara, Chalk.
The success of these regular nights was such that Supersonic decided to launch a festival dedicated to this discovery format each autumn.
