Born from the DIY punk and hardcore scene, SHORELINE has established itself as one of the most notable bands of the genre in Germany.
After their debut album Eat My Soul (2019, Uncle M Music), followed by the album Growth (2022, End Hits Records) and countless opening slots for bands such as Boysetsfire, Silverstein or Hot Water Music, SHORELINE signed in 2023 with the renowned American label Pure Noise Records, becoming the very first European band to do so.
SHORELINE's music is a clever balance between the 2010s hardcore influences (Touche Amore, Title Fight) and the more recent currents of pop-punk and emo (Arms Length, Anxious), characterized by the wide dynamic range of vocalist Hansol Seung's voice, ranging from very soft, intimate whispers (Loose Contacts) to pure, hard hardcore screams (Darius).
The band has always openly displayed its political convictions in its lyrics and, beyond animal rights and veganism, regularly tackles anti-Asian racism as well as Hansol Seung's journey toward discovering his identity as a second‑generation Asian‑European immigrant.
