Emerged at the end of the 19th century, the Choro mixes Afro-Brazilian rhythms leading to virtuoso melodies influenced by traditional European music (polka, waltz, scottish...). Usually played in "roda", choro literally means " weeping", "wailing", which is found in the melody of the melodies, like the mythical song "Carinhoso".
