Plants have been able to adapt to their environment, implementing, over generations, schemes to adapt to climatic conditions or predators, but also by attracting pollinators. In turn, we observed these plants and used them to use their properties on a human scale. At this conference, Jérôme Fresnais will tell you about some examples from the plant world that we find in our daily life. In particular, it will evoke super-hydrophobic surfaces, these materials to the super-power to give water drops the shape of a ball. How does it serve plants? How did they understand their properties and how are they inspired today in the laboratory?
