Since its creation, Éditions News has defended a strong vision: that of a theatre that reads as much as it plays. Refusing to subject the publication of the texts to their staging, the house claims autonomy of theatrical writing and restores its place to the reader. This approach helps to renew imaginations and open up new reception spaces for contemporary dramaturgies, making the reader a future viewer.
The catalogue is organized around original collections, each dedicated to a Spanish-speaking territory. This structure is one of the most remarkable signatures of the house. Among them, Les Incorrigibles (Spain), Les Gravitations (Uruguay), Les Orfèvres (Mexico), Les Façonneurs (Cuba), Les Fictions (Argentina) and Les Équilibristes (Costa Rica), Writes for the theatre draw a living and plural editorial cartography, participating in the circulation of works and the decolonization of cultural imaginations.
