All a Life Searching tells the intimate trajectory of Rothko Taylor, back in his hometown of Edgecliff after fifteen years of absence. Everything has changed, nothing has changed. Memories surface and blend with the present: the failed attempts of Ezra and Meg, his parents, to lead a decent existence, and the sweetness of Dionne, her loving gaze that frees. The struggle seems endless. Rothko stands there, facing the future, not knowing whether the powerful will for redemption that drives him will push back the shadows and allow him to make peace with his family and themself.
Embarking on a text by Kae Tempest is a true experience. One knows they will meet indelible characters and stand close to them, in moments of joy as well as chaos.
