In a context of misinformation, manipulation of information and mistrust of the media, reporting remains one of the most demanding forms of journalism. Go to the field, meet, listen, observe, confront facts: all essential gestures to democratic vitality.
Created in 1932 in tribute to the great reporter Albert London, the Albert-London Prize is the most prestigious distinction in French-language journalism. Every year, he rewards young journalists in the press, audio-visual and book categories, whose work bears witness to a requirement of investigation, independence and rigour. Albert London summed up the journalist's mission: "Our job is not to do pleasure or harm. It is to carry the feather in the wound. »
The Théâtre de la Concorde is proud to host the presentation ceremony of the Prix Albert-London 2026. While the awards of the print, audiovisual and book press are at the heart of this event, over the years it has also become a time for reflection and dialogue on journalism, its practices and its democratic responsibility. Journalists, reporters on the ground, representatives of great meetings of journalism and invited guests from France and abroad will gather to celebrate a demanding journalism, committed to facts and inquiry, and to remember how information remains a common good essential to democratic life.
An evening to celebrate field journalism, freedom to inform and those that allow us to exercise our critical gaze on the world.
