Night Stroll - Back to the Future… of the Rosa Parks neighborhood (19e arr.)

To Rosa Parks, heritage is not a monument: it is a vanished neighborhood that images make reappear.
And what if, for the European Heritage Days, you looked beyond the most famous monuments?
At nightfall, Retour vers le futur takes you on a walk-projection through the history and transformations of the Rosa Parks neighborhood.
Neither a classic guided tour nor a projection in a room. As the route progresses, archival photographs are projected in large format onto façades, walls and public spaces, near the places they depict. Some images are digitally animated; others are juxtaposed with current views through rephotography. Yesterday's neighborhood and today's overlap on the scale of the city.
Before Rosa Parks, another Paris occupied the site: massive railway beams, tracks of the Petite Ceinture, gasometers over 80 meters, Chapelle-Charbons station, warehouses on boulevard Macdonald and Claude Bernard hospital made up a spectacular industrial and logistical landscape, today almost entirely erased.
For two hours, projections, historical narratives and the search for old viewpoints bring to life more than a century of urban transformations.
The city transforms, for an evening, into an open-air exhibition space.
A nocturnal, digital, collective and immersive experience to discover on foot the heritage of the Parisian outskirts and to take another look at the history and identity of Rosa Parks.
Walk organized as part of the European Heritage Days 2026.
