Take care of the street? Vegetation and negotiations of public space at the Goutte d'Or

In recent years, people from the Goutte d'Or have taken the initiative to vegetate the street to take care of this space that we share daily. We propose to tell these experiments and to reflect together on the links, negotiations and tensions that they have generated in the neighbourhood.
The Golden Goutte rips off the bitumen Garden Festival
shared is a fall event not to miss at the Golden Drop,
programmed by a collective of associations, in partnership with
Paris Nanterre University, Goutte d'Or Library and the Institut
Cultures of Islam.
The collective organiser of this festival includes the five gardens
shared by the district: Aziza and Bashung Gardens (Green Goutte), Univert
(Halage), the Open Table Garden (The Open Table) the Garden of
The Assumption (Art&A), the Golden Goutte Library, Virginia Milliot
Urban anthropologist (Université Paris Nanterre), Collective 4C and
the Grain of Gardens association, as well as the Institute of Cultures of Islam, the children of the Golden Goutte.
It includes lectures, walks through the gardens and green spaces of the neighborhood, botanical drawing workshops, gathering and cooking workshops, photo and drawing exhibitions, film screenings.
