To close the first edition of the Semaine de la Création Clichoise, the Théâtre Rutebeuf welcomes a young company that is already establishing itself as a promising voice of contemporary theatre. After several notable productions, including those presented at the Festival Off d'Avignon, the company Hors du temps continues its exploration of the major issues of our time with Pourquoi les gens qui sèment.
At the heart of the story is a couple who are completely opposite. Chloé campaigns for civil disobedience in the face of the ecological emergency. Antoine, now a prefect, is tasked with enforcing the law. When their convictions clash on the same ground, a question arises: how can we continue to live together when each is convinced they are acting in the name of justice?
Supported by a cast of four actors, including the Clichois Matthieu Le Goaster, this production blends emotion, humor and reflection in a dynamic staging that puts the audience at the heart of the debate.
Between social theatre and sensitive fiction, Pourquoi les gens qui sèment invites us to go beyond oppositions to question what still connects us.
