Awarded the 2024 audience prize at the Au bonheur des mômes du Grand-Bornand festival, Plastic Boum Boum tells the story of the meeting of Compost and Dr Gazouz, two musicians who have returned from the whimsical future, Trufu, where electro‑music exists without electricity. Wild lute‑ery on the road, reclaimed and repurposed materials: swinging construction poles, a moving blue barrel, giant magical tubes, a universal saw, plastic boxes that emit loud treasures… Two funny clowns from Compagnie du Trufu make music and sound out of everything, reinvent instruments and sound objects, re‑enchant the stage in a grand collective techno‑boom‑boom climax. A show that invites dancing and laughing at any age.
Preceding one or several rehearsals, interactive concerts invite the audience to actively participate in the performance from the hall. They accompany the artists on stage, singing or performing excerpts of pre‑prepared works.
