Thinking about the history and memory of the Shoah in the age of artificial intelligence

Trying to go beyond simplified discourses, praise, or diatribes surrounding AI and its use, this will consider the question of historical and philosophical problems that arise with its emergence in Holocaust historiography and the transmission of its memory, between unprecedented possibilities and real risks. Emphasizing a pedagogical approach and dialogue, this day of meetings will present reports on specific experiments in various fields: from film to archival research and museography, from literature to the preservation of rare languages and the issue of testimony. By undertaking this reflection, we enable as many people as possible to understand and contemplate the major technological debates of our time, revealing their direct connection to deeply human questions that concern all of us and lie at the heart of the mission of Mémorial de la Shoah.
