If developed as it may, the repertoire for cello and guitar is a poor relative of contemporary creation. This is why the duo Lechner-Márquez embarked on a commissioning project that takes advantage of their exceptional musical affinity. But the composers they approached all have multiple ties: such as the Brazilian Egberto Gismonti, partly trained in France and working with jazzmen and traditional musicians, or Konstantia Gourzi, a Greek composer living in Germany, as well as the Franco-Argentin Oscar Strasnoy. As for the Franco-Lebanese Zad Moultaka and the Iranian Golfam Khayam, they build a bridge between the Middle East and the West.
