The Brussels quartet OLA TUnja meets around the saxophonist Ornella Noulet and the same passion for the spiritual dimension of jazz. On October 16, the official release date of their first album on WERF Records, Iels will have the honour of being present in the prestigious club of 38Riv in order to celebrate this release with the audience present. Drawing on the legacy of John Coltrane and his contemporaries, their music explores improvisation as an expression and link. Often moving from clean textures to denser passages, their individual voices emerge, while remaining integrated into a larger flow. Music is less like a succession of songs than a continuous process. On stage, OLA TUnja creates an immersive atmosphere that resembles a trance: a special experience for the public.
