The famous American ensemble from New York presents three concerts in Paphos, Limassol and Nicosia, bringing to the stage the power, rhythm and unique energy of gospel music.
The Golden Voices of Gospel, one of the most well‑known and dynamic groups on the American gospel scene, are coming to Cyprus for the first time as part of their major European tour for 2026. In October they will perform three shows in Paphos, Limassol and Nicosia, inviting the audience to a musical experience full of intensity, emotion and captivating performances.
Accompanied by an outstanding rhythm section, the renowned ensemble will present a program that highlights the huge influence of gospel on contemporary music. From blues and jazz to rock and pop, the echo of this musical genre appears in some of the most important trends of the 20th century.
The program includes contemporary gospel compositions as well as iconic songs such as “Oh When the Saints,” “Glory Glory Hallelujah,” “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot,” “Motherless Child,” “Joshua Fit the Battle of Jericho” and “Oh Happy Day.” These are concerts where the audience is not just invited to watch, but to sing and become part of the special atmosphere.
The Golden Voices of Gospel have collaborated with top names in world music. They were the gospel choir for Michael Jackson at the European premiere of “Earth Song” on the show “Wetten, dass..?,” and have shared the stage with Mariah Carey. They also performed in Verona with the orchestra of the Pavarotti Foundation, and in 2023 they participated as special guests on André Rieu’s global tour with the Johann Strauss Orchestra.
For decades the group has remained a true musical phenomenon, standing out for its impressive vocal power, boundless energy and its ability to create immediate communication with the audience.
