Cyprus’s largest book festival, the Nicosia Book Fest, returns this year to mark its 11th anniversary. This major event will, as usual, transform the capital’s park into a vibrant cultural hub, bringing together thousands of book lovers, authors, publishers and artists. The festival programme promises to be packed and varied, offering visitors a unique opportunity to chat with writers in person, discover new books and immerse themselves in the world of literature.
A key feature of this year’s festival will be a special focus on international culture, as Spain has been announced as the guest of honour. Accordingly, the opening ceremony and many key events will be dedicated to Spanish literature, music and traditions. Alongside this, guests can look forward to over 100 different events spread across several themed venues. The programme includes book presentations, open discussions, poetry readings, theatre performances, live concerts, as well as interactive creative workshops aimed at children, teenagers and adults.
Over 100 exhibition stands from leading publishers, bookshops, cultural centres and independent authors will be set up across the park.
Dates: 9–11 October 2026 (Friday to Sunday).
Opening hours: daily from 10.00 to 22.00.
Venue: Acropolis Park, Strovolos, Nicosia
Admission: completely free for everyone to all lectures and venues.
