Singer-songwriter of Spanish origin, Marta Domingo is cradled by Iberian music and passionate about Latin American rhythms. For this intimate project, she draws from the traditions and legends of her region Aragon, but also from the poetry of Antonio Machado and Federico García Lorca, without forgetting the Andalusian harmonies and Sephardic songs that resonate with strength and emotion in her voice.
She is accompanied by typical instruments such as castanets, spoons, and also the "pandero cuadrado", a square tambourine with tribal and mysterious sounds, once played by women of the Iberian Peninsula.
Pianist Claire Lamothe completes the duo. As the story unfolds, she elegantly deploys her palette of jazz, classical, and Hispanic influences. She thus manages to sensitively illustrate these timeless stories. The piano, in perfect symbiosis with the voice, then becomes an integral part of the narration to recreate an enchanting universe that brings us back to the vibrant and sun‑lit landscapes that inspired these songs.
