On the border of jazz, soul and blues.
A demanding musician with a well tempered temperament, she came from the gospel and passed through Lionel Hampton's orchestra in the 1940s.
His repertoire is at the crossroads of jazz, blues and rhythm & blues, with many successes in the 1950s–60s, including his recordings for Mercury Records.
Marion Chrétien has been known at the famous Glossy Sisters and Shades Vocal band, with whom she has performed more than 500 concerts in France and abroad for 10 years.
She is now one of the most prominent voices on the French jazz scene.
We could hear it on the most beautiful scenes: Jazz in Vienna, Crest Jazz Vocal (Joury and Audience Award), La Nuit Jazz Magazine at the Trianon, the Tahiti Jazz Festival alongside Dee Dee Bridgewater, and the Tanjazz in Tangier.
As part of the Jazz sur Seine festival 2026.
Line-up : Christian Marion: voice; Clement Simon: piano; Thomas Posner : double bass
