Cross‑arts festival in the manner of a culture marathon, between the tracks of the former Petite Ceinture, the former Montrouge station (the Poinçon), and the Maison Le Kinff.
From Saturday October 10 (11 a.m. to 1 a.m.) to Sunday October 11 (11 a.m. to 9 p.m.), come take a step aside and live to the rhythms of intersecting arts that give rise to varied, lively and salutary exchanges!
For this first edition, Renversements (Paris 14) invited several cultural actors from the 14th arrondissement for an uninterrupted chain of concerts, music‑infused graffiti, musical and choreographic performances, round‑tables, artistic wanderings, pop‑up libraries, presentation of works in progress, open stages for conservatory students and neighborhood residents, to reflect together on the Journey, forced or not.
Several parts will follow one another, punctuated by festive exchange moments: “Jazz!”, or trans‑Atlantic relations through the lens of European travels by American musicians and authors; “Cloisons?” around the question of deprivation of liberty, forced journeys linked to wars and totalitarian regimes, and that of the relationship to truth in the transmission of testimonies; “Territoires…” and “Racines?” around migrations between Europe and Africa (human but not only), but also exchanges worldwide, the feeling of belonging to a territory that is not originally yours, making an ephemeral territory your own; and “Voyage!”, ode to the road‑trip and emancipation through travel.
Event partners: Renversements (production), the Conservatoire Darius Milhaud, the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris (as part of the TANDEM project at Porte d’Orléans), the GHU de Paris (Ste Anne site), the Bibliothèque Aimé Césaire, Graffiti Paris, éditions Riveneuve, la Sirène, ACAGL14, RIVP, the Paris Jeunes le Miroir space, the Fabrique aux Gourmandises, JOJI INC
