The 10 km Onatera Paris 17 welcome Hugues Lavigne as ambassador of their 40th edition

Organized by the City Hall of the 17th arrondissement of Paris, with the support of the Office of the Sports Movement of the 17th and the club La Salésienne, the race attracts both runners looking for a personal record and those who simply want to enjoy a friendly moment. And to celebrate these 40 candles as it should be, the race welcomes a new ambassador who lacks neither breath… nor wit.
Known for his Hyperactive show, performed every Friday at the Théâtre du Marais in Paris, his tours throughout France and his videos followed by thousands of internet users on social media, Hugues Lavigne splits his time between theater stages and starting lines. Originally from Toulouse, he long shared his passion between rugby and running before taking the latter much more seriously upon his arrival in Paris in 2018. His first official 10 km? A promising 42 min 36 s at only 18 years old. Since then, Hugues has discovered a fondness for long distances and now has three marathons to his credit. With a sense of regularity that would almost make Swiss watchmakers dream: 4h15, 4h14 and 4h16.
His secret? He systematically cracks at the 35th kilometre. At least he is consistent. With his 88‑year‑old master and his 90 kilos, he likes to remind that he does not necessarily fit the classic image of a distance runner. But as he himself says, appearances sometimes run slower than the legs.
For this 40th edition, Hugues Lavigne officially becomes ambassador of the 10 km Onatera Paris 17. A collaboration that makes perfect sense since the 17th arrondissement holds a special place in his personal history: it is here that he settled when he arrived in Paris.
“Today, I am very happy to be ambassador of the 10 km of the 17th, a neighborhood that is very dear to me because it’s where I lived for the first time in Paris for three months! I was told the atmosphere was incredible and that there would be a lot of people. I am really proud and I can’t wait to take the start.”
Throughout the coming months, Hugues will share his adventure with participants through exclusive content on social media, events around the race and several surprises that will punctuate the preparation of this anniversary edition. One thing is sure: with him, the kilometres are likely to be a bit shorter… and the smiles much more numerous.Practical information
