You have an appointment at the Palais Royal where it all began. From the Tuileries to the Concorde, we will follow the route of the many carts of the future guillotined. On the way to the scaffold at the Place de la Révolution, we will greet, among others, Doctor Guillotin in his office, or the thoughtful heads of the famous Club des Jacobins. We will make a stop in front of the Salle du Manège where the National Assembly was born, without forgetting the former palace of the Tuileries, where the King and the Queen were locked up before fleeing to Varennes. Your journey will end at the place where the guillotine’s blade fell on January 21, 1793, ending the days of Louis XVI, and where the people shouted “Vive la liberté! Vive la nation!”.
Relive an essential chapter of our History, whose influence has far exceeded French borders.
