Bad time for nuance. Rude time for all those who cherish doubt and complexity. They are accused of being dreamers, lukewarms, cowards, even accomplices of the worst. But in a moment of polarization where fighting replaces debate, where bad faith echoes bad faith, and hatred to hatred, defending nuance is less easy than courage.
Freely inspired by the essay The Courage de la nuance by Jean Birnbaum, this theatrical conference makes the scene a field of experimentation for thought. Between pedagogy and humour, confrontation with ideas and dialogue with the public, she questions our ability to inhabit contradictions rather than to erase them.
