At the helm of Moulisex, a leader in sex toys made from hand‑cast latex molds: Melanie, an ambitious CEO, and her partner Claire, heir of the left wing, responsible for the “well‑being and care” department. The pair invites a lobbyist‑startup founder, holder of a patent for a bio‑sex‑toy, and his senator‑spouse — slightly conservative — to a decisive dinner that will determine the future of the declining company. But the omelette served that evening is a bit too special, ultimately blowing away masks, couples, progressive beliefs and power relations.
With this hallucinatory farce, inspired by the famous play Potiche, Claire Lapeyre‑Mazérat and Melanie Martinez‑Llense create a portrait of a simultaneously funny and insightful little woke bourgeoisie, thinking correctly, caught between its ambitions and contradictions. Between Judith Butler and Les Bronzés, this work promises a joyful reflection on our era.

Maison des Métallos, in partnership with Peuple & Culture, invites you to a master‑class reviewing the book T’es sérieuse ? Problèmes politiques de l'ironie by Laélia Véron and Guillaume Fondu, published in early 2026 by the publisher La Découverte.
Irony is praised everywhere. It can simultaneously provoke laughter and make one think. By playing on the effects of mention and echo, it, for example, allows a critical re‑thinking of dominant discourses.
But how political is this critical speech? Does it allow the political community to unite or rather supports certain prejudices in a comfortable enclosure? Is it a tool of emancipation capable of toppling hierarchies, or an expression of privilege (gender, educational, etc.)?
Undoubtedly, irony questions our tendency to mindlessly accept fashionable discourses. Yet it is also an evasive speech that refuses to fix content, declines to take a side, and makes a risky bet: to repeat the target discourse in order to mock it, while risking normalizing it.
Beyond the simple distinctions between “good” and “bad” irony (which essentially boils down to the difference between irony we like and that we don’t), this book, analyzing numerous polemical examples, explores the political ambiguities of irony in the modern world.
