The villages of Kampos and Tsakkistra in the Troodos mountains of Cyprus come alive every year for a beloved three-day festival marking the Feast of the Assumption (Dekapentavgoustos). From 14 to 16 August 2026, the squares and neighbourhoods fill with music, tradition, authentic local flavours, and people returning to their roots.
These are the days when families reunite, friendships are rekindled, and memories are made in the cool mountain air. Organised by the Kampos Community Council, the festival is a celebration of Cypriot culture, identity, and community spirit that welcomes visitors from across the island and beyond.
