Throughout the weekend, family workshops are offered in echo of the designer's creations presented within the museum. Inspired by the artist's creative processes, children and adults experience mixed earth or the composition of paper screens. Visits offer to discover the relationship to material that Antoine Bourdelle maintained in his workshop and how Anthony Guerrée revisits today these exceptional know‑how. Some workshops and visits benefit from the designer's exceptional presence.
Along the route, students from the École du Louvre accompany visitors in their discovery through mediations around the works.
On Sunday, music under the arcades. The concert Sérénade de Beethoven performed by the company Les Folies du temps offers a suspended moment between sculpture and music, resonating with Bourdelle's admiration for Beethoven.

Weaving the earth: imprints and materials

A sensory awakening around clay to address rudimentary gestures (small bowls, balls) and the motif. Inspired by the “mixed forms” of designer Anthony Guerrée, children manipulate different colors of clay to create a textured tile. They experiment with imprinting using everyday objects, creating a tactile dialogue.

Silhouettes in light: drawing in space

After observing the dialogue between Bourdelle's plasters and the creations of designer Anthony Guerrée, families explore the notions of fullness, emptiness and transparency. Using tracing paper, silhouettes inspired by the sculptures and layering games, children and adults design a miniature screen or a lantern playing with light, in the manner of the designer's stained glass.

What are the skills at work in the workshop? What is Antoine Bourdelle’s creative process? Who worked alongside him? On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, dive into the functioning of a painter’s and sculptor’s workshop from the early 20th century. The intervention in the rooms by designer Anthony Guerrée will also be an opportunity to question the materials and gestures of the workshop, a place where art and craft meet.
