For the bicentennial of the Revolution in 1989, the City of Paris commissioned Ivan Theimer to create a commemorative monument. Working with the chief architect of historic monuments, Michel Jantzen, for its realization, the sculptor designed a monument in tribute to the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen standing seven meters tall. Its shape is inspired by the architecture of Egyptian temples dear to the artist, and its abundant décor is filled with numerous references to works created during the French Revolution. The ticketing link will be activated the first half of September.
