JEP 2026: the Crédit Municipal de Paris opens its doors for a weekend

Discover the history of the Crédit Municipal de Paris, heir to the Mont-de-Piété, an institution created in 1637 and located since 1777 at 55, rue des Francs-Bourgeois, in the 4th arrondissement.
During your visit, set out to discover this historic site, which notably preserves a remnant of the Philippe Auguste wall and houses the largest auction hall in Paris. You will also be able to better understand the various activities of the establishment: pawn loans, auctions, conservation, budget support and solidarity savings.
The establishment can be visited freely. Guided tours are offered by reservation and all workshops are free.

Object expertise
Visitors can have their objects (jewelry, watches, etc.) appraised for free by the establishment’s auctioneer teams, who will estimate their value. You can thus discover a fascinating profession while also gaining valuable information about the items you own.

Film “Between Sky and Course”
The Crédit Municipal de Paris as you’ve never seen it! In 2023, a drone equipped with a camera flew over the 25,000 m² of the institution. You will be able to discover breathtaking views of the building whose first stones were laid at the end of the 18th century as well as the remains of a tower from the Philippe Auguste enclosure.
