Jeanne Lee — a singer who left a mark in jazz history with her unique, deep and sensual reinterpretations of standards, as well as her distinctive and free approach to vocal jazz.
In her discography, the albums recorded with pianist Mal Waldron, The Newest Sound Around (1961) and Free Standards (1966), as well as the outstanding «Conspiracy» (1974) and «Natural Affinities» (1992) with Dave Holland, are true gems that definitely deserve to be rediscovered.
Singer, actress and improviser Äulne, active in jazz and improvised music, pays tribute to it with a superbly crafted trio where emotion and the joy of improvisation dominate.
