After an intimate piano, a book of interviews and show me your hands, published by Grasset in 2017, the new literary opus of the French pianist goes back on his personal and professional journey through the account of his learning of the instrument, his inspirations, his doubts, teens upset by exhaustion, his first concerts, his recordings. The concert-reading mixes excerpts from Touché, told by Gilles Privat, faithful to director Alain Françon, Yoann Gasiorowski, resident of the Comédie-Française since 2018, Alexandre Tharaud himself and pages by Chopin, Debussy and Satie: three composers dear to the heart of the pianist, performed by his accomplice Frédéric Vaysse-Knitter.
