Accompanied by Malik Soares with the guitar lap steel and Kenza Laala at the game, Margaux Eskenazi offers an intimate, poetic and musical dive in a few selected pieces of the work by Imre Kertész with whom she has been dialogue for several years and whose vitality of the texts she continues to spread. And the heart still smokes and 1983, Margaux Eskenazi launches a new research around Kertész's literature in a diptych composed of Kaddish, memoirs – part 1 created in June 2024 at the Théâtre Nanterre-Amandiers, and whose second part, Kaddish, the bald woman in red robe, was created at La Rose des vents in Lille in January 2026.
