meet in 1835 in a Parisian salon: one, novelist at
success in man's clothes and the cigar on the lips; the other, Countess

Liszt, the lovers of both women — performed by two actresses
who are also cellist and pianist. A creation to discover
Theatre of Nesle, in the autumn of 2026, as France celebrates the
One hundred and fiftyth anniversary of the disappearance of the writer.
Two free women, an incandescent friendship
They
have braved the prejudices of their class and wanted to remain masters of
their destiny in a society that denied them autonomy. For more
of ten years, Sand and Agoult write: art, love, creation,
maternity, writing, freedom — all the fights of a life. From
These letters, the show draws a cross portrait, intimate and incarnate, of
two intellectuals who thought and experienced their emancipation before
Time. Their conversation, nearly two centuries old, resonates
with a striking acuity at a time when the debate on George's entry
Sand au Panthéon — led by a support committee chaired by Juliette
Binoche — Animates public space.
Chopin and Liszt, the secret language
This
theatre is also a concert. The two interpreters are not content

Liszt, Agoult's companion, is not an accompaniment — she is the

(Institut de France) has included its one hundred and fiftyth anniversary in the calendar of
national commemorations, and more than a hundred events
consecrated, from Nohant to Bourges.
Presented in Paris from 3 October to 15 October

Marie d'Agoult is one of the rendezvous of the capital.
