Luc and Michel are 18 years old in 1968. In 1981, they celebrate together the election of
François Mitterrand. Forty years later, they no longer vote in the same
way, no longer share the same convictions and sometimes struggle to
understand each other. What happened?

Mitterrand traces the thread of their lives to explore the
hopes, disillusions and transformations that have crossed French society
over the past decades. In turn, the three characters
embody François Mitterrand himself, blurring the boundaries between intimate
