In 2014, the association “Autour de la baleine”, which has existed since 2003, proposed to transform a simple lawn located in the middle of Ilot Saint Eloi - in the 12th arrondissement - into a shared garden.
The idea was to create friendliness and solidarity in this neighborhood. Set up a shared garden built by everyone to do things together, and allow residents of the surrounding buildings to enjoy it and create social bonds.
That’s how the adventure of the shared garden of the green whale began nearly 11 years ago… And it’s still going on! Come, on the occasion of the soup festival, to meet the association.
