Family Affairs was born from a musical and family meeting around a common passion for jazz. This adventure made sense with the desire to share the stage with our respective children, César Pastre at the piano and Milo Marchès-Saury at the double bass, in order to make live a family tradition.
Through this Quartet, musicians want to highlight a sometimes unknown musical heritage by exploring a repertoire dedicated to jazz composers, whose essential contribution to the history of this music has too often been relegated to the background.
Between respect for tradition and freedom of interpretation, the Quartet brings together generations around the same musical language, celebrating both the heritage of jazz and the place of the women who contributed to its evolution. An artistic project carried by sharing, and the desire to make the public discover treasures of the jazz repertoire.
