Le Théâtre Rutebeuf inaugurates this season a new event dedicated to emerging clichoise creation. To open this highlight, we welcome Fais la chose juste, the first text by the clichoise director Clémentine Billy.
Nourished by testimonies from former residents of the cité Sanzillon, this show sits at the border between documentary and fiction. In a city slated for demolition, several inhabitants see their bearings wobble. Faced with uncertainty, they try to preserve what connects them: their memories, their neighborhood, and the ties they have woven over the years.
Carried by six performers, this contemporary fable blends humor, emotion, and collective energy to tell the moment when a familiar place is about to disappear. Through intimate trajectories, it questions our relationship to memory, urban transformations, and the place each person seeks to find in a constantly moving world.
Created from a story deeply rooted in the clichois territory, Fais la chose juste offers a sensitive and profoundly human look at those who inhabit the city.
