For fifteen years, Yann Le Houelleur has been drawing in the streets of Paris. Sitting facing the buildings, monuments, and scenes around him, he observes at length and allows the city the necessary time to take shape on paper.
His drawings do not aim to faithfully reproduce what he sees. Proportions shift, colors intensify, details and characters accumulate, forming over the years a very personal view of Paris.
Before Paris, there was also São Paulo, where Yann lived for more than ten years. Some black‑and‑white drawings made during that period will be presented, as another facet of his journey.
Gathered for this exhibition, several dozen works allow visitors to explore fifteen years of drawing in the streets of Paris.
Yann Le Houelleur will be present during the exhibition to meet visitors and tell the stories that accompany his drawings.
