A passionate self-taught since childhood, Frédéric Combeau first exercised his eye as a photographer in the depths of Parisian careers, where he made his first shots thanks to an ingenious lighting system that he had developed himself.
Today a photographer at the Directorate of Green Spaces and the Environment, he travels parks, gardens and urban wasteland to capture the wildlife that slips into the interstices of the capital. His approach, demanding and patient, magnifies each animal by revealing it in its natural environment.
Through a selection of carefully selected images, this exhibition offers visitors an unexpected face-to-face with Parisian wildlife — a sensitive dive into a living Paris, discreet, but intensely present.
To see by walking the Chemin de l'évolution, at Parc Floral in Paris until 29 September.
