Être Surya • Spectacle de Lucie Hanoy
When: 03.02.2027 15:00

Madi is 13 years old. She dreams of aerial tricks on ice, glitter and freedom. But at school she is bullied: they say she is “too heavy” to fly. So, to find the strength to assert her legitimacy, she is inspired by the path of her idol, Surya Bonali — a figure skating champion and a symbol of resistance to social norms and racial discrimination.
Lucy Hanoi connects their two paths — the path of a little girl searching for her place, and the path of an already established athlete refusing to obey the rules — to explore this pivotal age when we leave childhood and enter adolescence, in search of identity and role models. Their stories also speak of passion, glittery costume, strength, stars and backflips.

A playful and accessible workshop to get acquainted with the world of “puppet” dolls, creating your own character together with Lucy Hanoi and the Big Up troupe.
Using simple techniques, mainly from craft paper, you learn to create your doll and then bring it to life through manipulation, play, and expression exercises. Step by step you explore the connection between form, movement, and the personality of the character you create.
No prior requirements: the workshop is open to everyone, regardless of level. At the end of the session you take home your doll and the basics to continue “animating” it at home. A playful and creative souvenir that you can take with you, perfect for continuing play and imagination at home or sharing these moments with family and friends.
Exploration of “Renversante” by Florence Hinkel (SAM. 6 FÉV. 2027|14h—17h)
In partnership with Peuple & Culture
Duration 3 h
Cost €8
Reservation recommended
Maison des Métallos, in partnership with Peuple & Culture, invites you to a workshop exploring the book Renversante by Florence Hinkel.
Lea is doing fine! At school she likes to play soccer in the yard with her friends. She is naturally good at math, as often happens with girls. She already knows that a brilliant career awaits her — surgeon, bailiff, or why not, minister! Whatever path she chooses, she won’t have to worry about children, because their father will take care of that. Men, of course, are made for that, right? “That’s life! Nothing you can do about it!” — thinks Lea. But her father and brother Tom will make her question the established order…
Exploration is a method of collective familiarization with a work. It is recommended not to read the book in advance! The Métallos team will bring a copy, refreshing drinks and sweets for an enjoyable shared time.
Tactile stage inspection (SAM. 06 FÉV.|16h)
Explore the set and the world of the performance through a tactile stage inspection, specially designed for blind and visually impaired people.
Audience warm‑up (SAM. 06 FÉV.|16h15)
Take a minute before the performance, a transition time between your everyday life and the hall. Accompanied by Marin Dezessar, share a few movements, breaths, words or mutual glances to relax and better receive the show.
