An Evening with Purpose at Columbia Steak House: A special charitable dinner on September 24 supporting “One Dream One Wish”
Columbia Steak House, a member of Columbia Restaurants, is organizing on Thursday, September 24, 2026 a special charitable dinner “An Evening with Purpose”, which will combine a specially designed gastronomic experience with live music, supporting the Association “One Dream One Wish”. The net proceeds of the evening will be allocated to the Association.
September has been internationally established as “Gold September”, the awareness month for childhood cancer, giving this particular evening special significance, as attendees will join forces to support children and young people facing cancer, leukemia and other serious hematologic diseases.
The Association “One Dream One Wish” was founded in Cyprus in November 1997 by a group of parents and friends of children who were dealing with those diseases. For almost three decades it has been actively supporting children, youth and their families, granting wishes, providing financial assistance and offering psychological support to the children and the people beside them.
For this evening, the culinary team of Columbia Steak House has created an exclusive set menu, priced at €140 per person. La Maison Du Vin participates in the initiative as Official Wine Sponsor, providing the wines that will accompany the dinner.
Attendees will also enjoy a live performance by Christina Averkios, adding her enchanting voice and music to an evening dedicated to gastronomy and, above all, to supporting an important cause.
Commenting on the initiative, Stefanos Karageorgiou, Operations Manager of Columbia Plaza, said: “September is a significant opportunity to raise awareness and demonstrate our concrete support for children and families affected by cancer. Through the ‘Evening with Purpose’, we want to bring our guests together and make a substantial contribution to the work of ‘One Dream One Wish’, an Association that has been by the side of children and families in Cyprus for almost three decades.
